What We Do

Community Spaces

At Jennis Flower, we understand the importance of fostering a sense of belonging and connection within our community. We offer a diverse range of social events, activities, and new experiences designed to create opportunities for foster youth to come together, build relationships, and form supportive networks. Our community spaces serve as hubs of empowerment, where individuals can explore their identities, share their stories, and cultivate a sense of belonging in a safe and inclusive environment.

Entrepreneurship Pathways

We believe in the power of entrepreneurship as a means of self-empowerment and economic independence. Through the Foster Youth Flea Market, a quarterly market hosted in Los Angeles, we provide opportunities for foster youth entrepreneurial seeds to showcase their talents, creativity, and entrepreneurial ventures. Jennis Flower sponsors tables, chairs, decorations, and provides financial support for supplies and materials for foster youth entrepreneurs and artists, ensuring that they have the resources they need to succeed. All seeds are given access to bi-monthly workshops, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive as entrepreneurs.

Mindful Somatic Practices

Healing from past trauma is essential for foster youth to reach their full potential. Jennis Flower partners with other organizations and businesses to offer somatic practices that promote holistic wellness and healing. Through activities such as rock climbing, yoga, pilates, HIIT training, dancing, and more, we support foster youth in curating a holistic sense of self.  These practices help foster youth reconnect with their bodies, regulate their emotions, and cultivate resilience, empowering them to overcome adversity and embrace their full potential.

The Foster Youth Flea Market is a quarterly community market in Los Angeles that provides youth impacted by the foster care system between the ages of 18-38 opportunities to generate income, develop and tune their entrepreneurial skill sets, and network with the larger foster youth and advocacy community. The Market provides a safe space for foster youth vendors, youth attendees, as well as organizations and resources to connect and network with the larger foster youth community.

Jennis Flower is a nonprofit organization on a mission to empower transition-age foster youth (ages 18-38) to bloom their flowers by supporting them through their personal and professional development. Through our services and programs, we provide them with the essential tools and support needed to cultivate holistic healing and personal growth.
